Human Resources Manager-Lake Forest Graduate School of Management

    Temporary Assignment – 3 to 6 months; 25-30 hours per week estimated

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Custodian and Primary Liaison for Third Party Payroll Provider and System; Interacts and coordinates with Finance team during bi-weekly faculty and staff payroll processing.
    • Maintains all benefit plans including Medical, Dental, Retirement, Life Insurance, LTD, STD, and pre-paid legal and ensures invoices are paid timely
    • Manages renewal and negotiation of Medical, Dental, and Ancillary Plans
    • Serves as Pandemic Health and Safety point person
    • Responsible for Staff Recruiting and Coordinates new hire onboarding and training
    • Manages LFGSM Business Conduct Guidelines and Employee Handbook
    • Administers the School’s FMLA and short-term disability programs and maintains HIPAA privacy
    • Manages employee lifecycle events (e.g., hire, status changes, LOA, terminations, and retirements)
    • Conducts new hire orientation (completion of I-9 and W-4’s, introduction to the School’s organization, Employee Handbook, payroll schedule, and benefits, including a brief explanation of the School’s 403(b) retirement plans. 
    • Coordinates annual open enrollment (10.1)
    • Monitors unemployment claims and appeals
    • Maintains online training programs through Vector Solutions
    • Responds to Verification of Employment requests
    • Ensures compliance with FMLA, FLSA, ERISA and all other employment related laws
